Brighton Adventure - Snooze Guesthouse Brighton

Last week my boyfriend and I went to Brighton for a mini holiday just for a few nights. We've been to Brighton before but we've always stayed closer to the seafront, however this time we decided to stay in a guesthouse in Kemptown called Snooze. We realised soon after getting there that it was the right choice!

This place was just so great, we paid the same rate for a chain hotel but we got something perfectly unique! Each of the 8 bedrooms or suites in the guesthouse are themed differently, our room was room 4 called French Flea Market Flair. It was beautifully french, with pastel blues and greys. Along with little extras which just set it off perfectly - just like this vintage poster.

The room was quaint but perfect, with a huge sash window and small ensuite. The sink was inside the room, but I loved it as it was a proper central piece to the room with a cute floral pattern over it.
We read the room booklet, and we found that every piece of furniture was from flea markets or car boot sales - nothing was brand new. I loved this - it makes somewhere feel homely and it really sets the theme off.

As well as tea, coffee and hot chocolate we also arrived to see a stick of rock and a bar of love hearts on the bed, next to our towels. This was such a nice treat, as we weren't expecting it and they tasted really good too! Also in the room were some 'Beekind' products which were free to use, I used the shampoo, conditioner and the shower gel and absolutely loved the products, it was so nice to see a known brand with a good message being used in this guesthouse. (Side note - protect the bees!)

Breakfast was also included within the price for the room, so we took full advantage of this! There was a good choice of breakfasts, from cereals and fruit to a full 'Emma English' (there version of a full english, they also had a veggie 'Chloe English')

The breakfast room was bright and colourful, with a bit of music playing in the background and the atmosphere was so chilled, which is just what you want when you're having a break from everyday life. I ordered the full english both days and it was excellent on both occasions. I was so glad it was freshly cooked and not one of those buffets you get in chain hotels (No one likes cold beans with a skin over them!)

Definition of Snooze

All in all we both loved this place, from the decor to Tony who we met on arrival who must have been one of the owners. He made us feel welcome which is always nice when you stay in a guesthouse.
The effort that has been put into this guesthouse is amazing, even down to the tables in the breakfast room which spelt out 'SNOOZE' to the choice of furniture that they hand picked from flea markets and not forgetting the painted ceiling in the breakfast room, you just have to see it!

What else do you want from a weekend away? Oh and remember if you snooze you loose - so get on it and stay at this place!
Have you been anywhere lately that you loved or have you been to this guesthouse too?
